"Fear Baiters"
by T.S.Golden
Political fear baiters, red herring, and the strawman argue. As you try to enjoy your meal, the evening noise supplies the terror and dosage. Tragedy presented to you in between commercial interruptions. Be afraid and buy buy buy into the bullshit, the bollocks, and the branding.
Freedom is bought and sold by your tax dollars well spent on the impeding war. Killing poor people around the world so you can get fat, sloth and SUV, watching as much direct marketing as you can conceivably handle until you go mildly insane and passively obedient.
Your individuality is predetermined by what stylish product you select to wear around your neck. Next after the series of advertisements of course is another chilling reminder why you must submit to faith and fear of their next product introduction for mass production.
Wait in line as they open the doors to the stores of your every need and desire to overcome the horror of without having it. Plead to be reeled in like a fish on the line waiting to be slit, hung out to dry, and served on the plate of the last supper every ceremonial Sunday.
The fear baiters dance and drink from a big chalice, and laugh and show you their luxury and walk you through their mansions and halls from the comfort of your own one room box, and you smile and say that will be me one day as you grow ever further from the truth of your natural existence.
You listen and do as you are told, holding onto the belief that one day you will be the one with all the authority. Or the roles will be reversed and the eye of the needle is so very small you wonder how a rich man could fit. So you clap and cheer and let your delusion guide your fear of the everlasting.
The moment passes and your only real chance to experience all that you can is gone and you lie there now on the bed you made yourself alone and wonder how you did not get out and about more and bury yourself in a book and fantasize the words are real and the awful reality is really just an illusion.
Then the usual fear returns being so accustomed you call it faith in an almighty figment of your imagination. You submit once again and pretend to be at peace among the noise, the reception, deception, and the high voltage like a lamb on the way to banquet with nothing to wear but bones, flesh and nice hint of rosemary and the flavor of thyme.
"Junk Economy" by T.S.Golden
What is worse than debt? Of owning... of usury... you borrow so much more than money. It rips at your very being... strips you of your pride, your hide, right down to your very core. This material nothingness... of no substance... the commercial absence of wealth, falsifying one's own worth, denying the Earth's natural untouched beauty. For what? Instant impulse satisfaction. Buying, fleeting, emptiness, the void in us all. Try to fill it with junk. Attempting to resolve this with the need for more more more... Just one more thing to add to my collection of useless reminders. The superficial appreciation of junk. We exist in this junk economy there is no denying. Our time as rulers of the universe is near its predictable end. A religious self-fulfilling prophecy... the final crash will be hard caused by the mere gravity of the piles of junk, which we insist to have surround us and form our walls, walls and walls to call our own walls and malls and malls with junk for us all. Towers to finance and foreclosure suffering a financial demise. Our own stifling greed and bankruptcy as we bleed this debt, drained of our existence, and finally buried in the grave of this habitual junk economy. Bid now on the fiction and have the satisfaction of being part of corrupt dealings of bankers and fools. Politician employee saving those that seek to destroy our common good, monopoly competition, one against the other with an increased debt to foreign mythology that holds the keys to imaginary salvation from the one true provider, the Earth, natural resourcefulness, sublime beauty and at once incomprehensible, our one feast and wine, which nature provides the divine. Yet our spiritual famine is caused by the debt to authorities that we empower in turn we cower to their malice, constructs, and desire for more power. Lost in the stackable plastic, storage assortments for more stuffable, lovable, artificial color, variety and illusion, and endless aisles of shelves and shelves of unmistakable, undeniable Junk.
The United States Supreme Court ruled yesterday (21 Jan 2010) that corporations have the unlimited ability to fund political campaigns and buy politicians on the local, state and federal level, which officially makes the United States a Plutocracy. A Plutocracy is the consolidation of wealth to a very small amount of people and these executives also obtain all the political power in the country. One could argue that the United States has been a Plutocracy ever since the courts ruled corporations have individual rights in addition to the rights already granted to the individuals since they are US citizens. So individuals that hold multiple corporations are chalking up extra rights over common, disenfranchised citizens. Chief Justice Roberts is a disgrace, and every one of these conservative activist judges have struck a fatal blow to democracy in the United States, what ever was left of it, after these same judges voted Bush in power as President in 2000.
The greatest enemy of this republic is not some foreign fringe group or fanatical religious zealots, it is conservative judges and reactionary politicians that seek to marginalize the average citizen, maximize the power of the extremely wealthy, and eliminate personal freedoms granted in the Bill of Rights in the name of national security, fear baiting, and jingoistic, hyper-militaristic endeavors around the world. We need a new progressive movement to counterbalance these extreme right wing trends or the very principles of the founding fathers we hold dear will grow evermore disheartened and unrecognizable long into the future.
On top of these arguments, the Supreme Court decision will give unlimited foreign influence on local, state, and federal elections in the United States. If a foreign national owns a corporation that is located in the United States, like Rupert Murdoch, he is granted illegitimate rights and unconstitutional influence on American elections. Conservatives and liberals should agree that foreign influence on American elections is unacceptable.

"The Spective Creative Cycle"
by T. Scauzillo Golden
[Written originally in 1996-1999 while attending the University of Washington, saved on 2/27/2000, edited c. 2005 and re-edited for this post on Thanksgiving, 11/26/2009]
The Spective Cycle, the spective framework, is an art form, a design method, a way to create, a way to analysis, a way to hypothesize, a way to write, and a way to be at one with oneself. It is not always easy. You may find out things that you do not like and aspects of an individual creative process that requires further refinement. This discovery allows us to grow as individuals.
You see what you project, you look at what you reflect, and you come to an understanding and conclusion with what you see, what you hear, what you touch, what you taste and what you smell. We receive the world as a gift through our senses.
You realize that this moment is your perspective, a moment and time, and a variable in the function of time. The function changes over time. Unsurprisingly so do you and you try to be at one with that. But with all our human objectives, we do not perfectly match our goals and our goals change. We come to know this over our own, individual life evolution. Our life evolution exists in a process of perpetual refinement. We witness this evolution in the ones we love.
The Spective creative cycle is a quest for what is timeless, eternal, what is without tense (e.g. past tense, present tense, future tense, etc.) in our often paradoxical, tensed existence.
In modern times it is said that one should take conventional wisdom and throw it out the window. That has been done already and that is littering and not a component of a sustainable economy. Instead, take conventional wisdom and recycle it. A very necessary and crucial component of the creative process is the integration of our cognitive and emotive consciousness.
"The Life Cycle of Creativity, the Design Process, and the Formation of Ideas within the Spective Point-Of-View"
The Spective creative cycle can be seen as a framework for the conceptual stages of thought development.
This process continues into the "to think" stage of the Life Cycle. In the "to think" stage, the polymath becomes prospective, forward-thinking, superconscious, and investigates the prospects and indicators of an original idea. Using artistic license, the polymath and/or researcher incorporates his or her perspective to make the newly discovered concept an original, humanistic, and innovative idea that can be beneficial for others in the future.
And finally, before the metaphorical 'death' to 'rebirth' of the concept (meaning the designer/artist/writer/innovator/polymath moves onto the next creative, productive idea), the creator of the original idea gives tribute to his or her inspiration, citing his or her sources if any are used: This is the respective component of the Spective process. Respective can be viewed as twofold: Being respectful to one's sources, as well as, to continue the Spective cycle anew, reSpectively.
The Spective Life
2/14/2005
We look back, we look inside, we look side to side and up and down, and then we move forward respecting what we see.
We listen back, we listen within, we hear from all directions, and then we groove forward appreciating what we hear.
We taste and smell the past, we savor and enjoy the aroma, we understand what we have left, and we enjoy it while it lasts.
We feel our history, we feel within ourselves, we touch the space we exist in, and we hold eternity within every passing moment.
The Spective Cycle:
Retrospective (past), Introspective (past/present), Perspective(present), Prospective(future), and Respective (full cycle).
Electronic
nov2009
When you abscond your built surroundings
You become electronic
While antiquated authority pains you
And you no longer will be constrained
Time to live the electronic
Traveling at the speed of thought
Synthesizing, mesmerizing
Straight up lightning in your brain
Vanity, there is no phase
Synapse firing
Shock to shock
Bolts through this conduit maze
Craze to craze
Shifting, flux with a fast-lane gaze
Moment to moment
Fleeting, virtual, no barriers in our way
You sip this powertonic
All meeting in the electronic
